Roots Above, Branches Below

In the Bhagavad Gita, the Ashvattha is described as a tree whose roots reach upward and whose branches spread down toward the earth, an eternal tree, rooted in scholarship and tradition, branching outward into the hands of new readers.

We took the name because it says in one image what we're trying to do: publish work that is rooted in real scholarship and real craft, and get it into the hands of readers who wouldn't otherwise find it.

अश्वत्थः सनातनः

We publish Hindi and English authors, Hindi first, from a manuscript through to its own ISBN, cover, print and shelf. We also work as an editorial desk for writers who need a manuscript handled with real rigor, not run through a template.

Production is in-house: editing, typesetting, cover design and print preparation, done by hand, by one person, not outsourced to a form-and-forget portal. Every project starts with a conversation and a sample read, not a contract.
